Son cut off mother’s hands with a machete

A 30-year-old man has been arrested for cutting off his mother’s hands with a machete in Akibo village, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Nigeria State.

“Neighbours were forced to storm out of their houses as they heard a noise from the woman’s house,” according to reports.

“She was found lying in a pool of blood, with her left and right hands cut off and a deep stab to her head while the suspect was standing beside his mother, holding a sharp cutlass,” according to neighbors.

The victim had immediately been taken to the hospital for medical attention.

“The suspect had been arrested and an investigation was ongoing,” according to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola.
