A man killed co-tenant over N300 in Delta state

A man stabbed his roommate to death following a heated argument over a N300 electricity bill in their rented apartment in Okumagba Layout, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria.

The victim and the suspect were said to be friends residing in a one room apartment in the house.

The suspect was the one collecting the electricity bill from the entire tenants in the compound for easy remittance to the authorities.

In his absence, one of the tenants of the complex paid his friend N300, but when he came back, his friend refused to give him the money paid by the tenant.

Consequently, a fight erupted between the duo in the course of which the suspect used a broken bottle to stab the victim in the neck.

The victim eventually bled to death as a result of the severity of the injury.

He took to his heels but was apprehended and handed over to the police.
