Ghana: a man stabs his rival to death

A 47-year-old farmer has allegedly stabbed his rival to death at Okanta near Kadjebi in the Oti Region, Ghana, according to reports.

“The suspect stabbed the deceased who is also a farmer, at a meeting held to address pertinent misunderstanding between the deceased and his wife,” according to an eyewitness.

During the meeting, the deceased hurled insults at his wife, which infuriated the suspect, who fought and drew a sharp knife to stab the deceased multiple times.

“The suspect after the incident fled into the bush wielding a gun and cutlass,” according to reports.

The victim died on the way to the hospital.

The suspect is currently in Police custody helping in investigation.
