Man takes own life after losing N2.5m to betting

A Facebook user took his own life by ingesting an insecticide allegedly for losing N2.5m to betting in Umuahia, Nigeria, according to reports.

The deceased had on his Facebook wall posted a message saying that it was his last day on earth and that he was going to meet his maker.

Unknown to those reading the post, he had already consumed the insecticide before making the announcement.

Upon learning of his distress, friends rushed Onoh to Madonna Hospital.

However, despite the efforts of doctors to resuscitate him, he did not survive.
