The Lagos State Police Command has arraigned a tenant for assaulting his landlady in Olaniyi Street, Nigeria, reports said.
“The defendant assaulted his landlady when she demanded him money for payment of his electricity bill,” reports said.
“The defendant hit the complainant’s head against an iron gate which caused her to be hospitalized,” the prosecutor, Inspector Donjor Perezi said.
“The offense contravened Section 173 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2015,” the prosecutor added.
The magistrate, Tanimola, therefore granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in the same sum.
