China: heavy toll after deadly attack on kindergarten

An attack on Wednesday at a kindergarten in central China left three people dead and six injured, local police said.

“A malefactor wearing a cap and a mask, armed, burst” at 10:22 a.m. (local time) into this establishment in Jiangxi province, the statement said.

Police say the 48-year-old suspect fled and is being actively sought.
