ECOWAS due to hold a summit on Guinea coup

The leaders of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) must hold a summit to find a solution to the Guinean coup that overthrew President Alpha Condé.

The Ecowas leaders will meet on Thursday to decide how to respond to the coup and how to pressure the junta leaders to return the country to a constitutional rule, Ghana’s Foreign Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchway said on Wednesday.
