At least five people dead after a violent strrom hit Bauchi State in northern Nigeria, according to the first toll.
The Bauchi State Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, announced in a statement, that heavy rains and a strong storm had occurred in Bauchi.
Ahmed Mohammed Wakil noted that a place with people inside and several houses collapsed as a result of the storm.
Injured people were taken to hospital, including five who lost their lives.
The death toll could rise, local authorities fear.
