Following the failure of her first attempt, Ivorian chef Zeinab Bancé set off again on Thursday March 27 at the Parc des Sports in Treichville, in a new bid to beat the Guinness record for the longest culinary marathon.
Zeinab Bancé has put together a rich menu highlighting the flavors of Ivory Coast’s 31 regions.
“I’ve done a lot of prayers, concentration exercises and physical activities, I’ve got the mind of an elephant and I’m going to go all the way,” declared Zeinab Bancé, who this time assures that she has taken every measure to guarantee the quality of her recordings in order to meet the competition’s requirements for the validation of her record.
A new turnaround
For 144 hours, Ivorian chef Zeinab Bancé achieved the feat of cooking for six days without interruption until April 2. However, she intends to push back her limits by adding three (3) more to her initial timing. She wants to offer this record to her country, Ivory Coast.
The Guinness record jury had invalidated the Ivorian chef’s first culinary marathon due to technical problems with the recording.
