The oldest man in the world, Juan Vicente Pérez Mora, is dead

Venezuelan Juan Vicente Pérez Mora, who for two years held the title of oldest man in the world according to Guinness World Records, died Tuesday at the age of 114, authorities and his family announced.

“Juan Vicente Pérez Mora entered eternity at the age of 114. This native of El Cobre gave Venezuela the longevity record awarded by the Guinness World Records,” President Nicolas Maduro said on X.

On February 4, 2022, the Venezuelan, then aged 112 years and 253 days, was officially recognized as the oldest man in the world, according to the Guinness World Records website.
