Ghana to reappoint Otto Addo as head coach

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to reappoint its former coach, Otto Addo, as head coach of the Black Stars.

Otto Addo, 48, will leave German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, where he is a talent coach, at the end of the season.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) said on Facebook said that Addo “will be offered a 34-month contract with the option of a further two years.”

“It wasn’t easy for me to make this decision, but I’m very grateful and happy that those responsible at Borussia Dortmund are allowing me to take this step. The Black Stars had been looking for a new coach after the sacking of Chris Hughton following their group-stage exit from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in January.
