At least fifteen people were killed and forty-six injured in a traffic accident on the road linking Kessedougou and Ouan on national route number six, in the San region of central Mali.
“A bus belonging to the DIARRA Transports company, travelling from Mopti to Bamako, collided with a ten (10) tonne truck travelling in the opposite direction,” according to reports.
“The provisional toll is fifteen dead, forty-six injured, including some serious cases. All the victims were transported to the Somino Dolo hospital in Mopti by Civil Protection personnel”, reports added.
As a reminder, in June 2023, a traffic accident involving two passenger coaches on the road linking Fana and Konobougou, on national road number six, also left fifteen (15) people dead and thirty-two (32) injured.
