Ivory coast qualifys for AFCON final

The Super Eagles of Nigeria, who beat South Africa in the first semi-final match will face the Elephants of the Ivory Coast in the final.

Humiliated in the first round by Equatorial Guinea (4-0), the Elephants have just cleared their honour by qualifying for the final.

The host country, Côte d’Ivoire, shattered the dream of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) thanks to a spectacular volley from Sébastien Haller (1-0).

The final match in the Africa Cup of Nations competition, which began on January 13, will pit Côte d’Ivoire against Nigeria at the Stade Olympique Alassane-Ouattara in Ebimpé on Sunday February 11.

The two teams already met on January 18 in the second round of the group phase (Group A).
