Teacher drowns on way to election campaign

A 34-year-old teacher drowned in a river on his way to campaign in the Teberebie electoral zone in Prestea, in the Western Region of Ghana.

“The deceased was traveling with about five others,” according to reports.

Three individuals managed to return safely, both the teacher and another gentleman drowned.

The search team recovered the teacher’s lifeless body four hours after the tragic incident.

The body has been deposited at the Tarkwa Municipal Hospital mortuary.
