According to a New York court document, American actor Jamie Foxx is the target of a sexual assault complaint filed in New York in 2015.
The complaint comes on the eve of the expiry of a law that allows victims of sexual violence to file a civil suit for acts that are time-barred.
According to the complaint filed with the New York State Supreme Court, a lower court, Eric Marlon Bishop aka Jamie Foxx, sexually assaulted the plaintiff, who retained her anonymity, during a party on the rooftop terrace of a Manhattan bar-restaurant in August 2015.
In particular, the Django Unchained star is accused of placing “his hands on her waist, then slipping them under her underwear to fondle her breasts”.
She tried to free herself and called for help from security and others around her. They apparently preferred not to act, she claims.
Jamie Foxx then “placed his fingers in her private area”.
The bar-restaurant-lounge Catch NYC & Roof and its owner-manager Mark Birnbaum are also the target of this civil claim, for having done nothing while the alleged victim was facing her attacker.
