Motorist collapses at the wheel and dies in hospital

A commercial driver has collapsed and died while driving along the Epe Road in Lagos State, Nigeria, according to reports.

“The driver was driving an Opel Zafira wagon with registration number KJA584HU when he slumped while steering the wheel,” reports said.

The Chairman of the Road Transport Association of Nigeria rushed to the scene and promptly took the driver to the General Hospital in Ijebu-Ode for treatment.

There was no mark of violence on the corpse when our officers visited the scene,” the state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed.

The corpse has been deposited at the Chelsea Mortuary in Okeowo for autopsy.
