A 24-year-old man hit the left eye of a man who had stepped on his leg in Agbogbloshie, Ghana, according to reports.
“The suspect, who cannot see with his left eye, had awoken in the middle of the night to pass urine when he inadvertently stepped on the suspect, resulting in the punches,” reports said.
The victim shouts for help woke others, who arrested the suspect and turned him over to the police.
The Court presided over by Mrs Ellen Offei Ayeh granted him a GH₵50,000.00 with three sureties.
According to the prosecution, the victim was rushed to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for treatment, where he is now unable to see with his left eye after surgery.
After investigation, the suspect was charged with the offence and brought before the Court.
