A man dies digging a well in Kwara

A 43-year-old man has died as he fell into a well in the Egbejila area, the Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria.

“The victim went to re-dredge a well and during the process of dredging, one of his legs slipped off the ground and he eventually tumbled into the well,” according to reports.

“Firemen were able to recover the dead body from the well and later handed it over to one of his family member,” reports said.

The Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Falade Olumuyiwa, expressed sadness over the incident and urged the public to be more careful in their day-to-day activities.
