Family of three dies after building collapse

A father and two of his children were killed after a three-storey building collapsed in Otolo Nnewi community, Nnewi North Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nigeria.

“The building collapsed while the workers were getting ready to start plastering work on the structure,” according to reports.

The victims were among those working on the building while others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

“People who were also trapped in the rubbles were later rescued and rushed to a hospital in Nnewi,” according to eyewitnesses.

The site would be closed and the building’s owner summoned for questioning.
