Two brothers drown in an abandoned quarry

Two brothers drowned in an abandoned quarry in Anoff, a community in the municipality of Nsawam Adoagyiri, in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

“The victims went to the abandoned quarry site of Mendor Quarry Company to swim in the stagnant water while returning from hunting but drowned,” reports said.

The bodies have been deposited at the Nsawam government hospital morgue.

“The owner of the quarry site has been summoned by the organisation to safeguard the site which has become a swimming pool for the youth in the Anoff community,” reports said.
