Man jailed for spraying girlfriend with acid

A man hacked with cutlass for stealing GH¢70

A farmer is battling for his life after he was hacked over a disagreement about missing GH¢70 at Panto Village in Akuapem North Municipality in Eastern Region, Ghana.

“The victim returned from snail hunting at midnight and found that his money, Ghc70 cedis, had been stolen from his room,” reports said.

He suspects his neighbor, which leads to a misunderstanding between them.

“The victim inflicted a deep cutlass wound on his neck and abandoned him in the bush,” reports said.

He was rushed to the Eastern Regional hospital where the wounds were stitched.

The suspect has been arrested and transferred to Adawso Police to carry on with investigation.

The suspect has, however, told police that the victim attempted to attack him with the cutlass which he blocked and retaliated in self defense.
