Pregnant woman arrested for stabbing her maid

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old pregnant woman who stabbed her teenage maid for not washing her bag in Lagos, Nigeria.

Policemen arrested the suspect following a video on the plight of the maid recorded by one of her neighbors which went viral.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest in a message he posted on his Twitter handle, @BenHundeyin.

“The suspect had been moved to the command’s gender unit where she would get adequate medical attention while the investigation continues,” according to Hundeyin.

“The victim was also receiving medical attention at the police hospital,” he said.
