Housemaid arrested for stealing N4m from her employer

A 21-year-old housemaid was arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate Court for stealing N4m from her employer at 1004 Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos State, Nigeria.

“The defendant committed the offense on April 22, 2023,” according the prosecutor, Inspector Cyriacus Osuji.

“The suspect stole $5,500, which is equivalent to N4m, property of her boss,” he said.

The defendant, who is facing a count charge preferred against her by the police, was docked before Magistrate Atinuke Adetunji.

“The offense committed contravened Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015,” according to the prosecutor.
