Woman arrested for stabbing six-year-old child

A six-year-old girl is battling for her life after a woman stabbed her to protest her father’s advice to her husband to marry a second wife in Kano State, Nigeria.

“The suspect was annoyed when she learnt that the victim’s father, a friend of her husband, has been the one advising him to get another wife,” reports said.

The suspect’s husband claimed that his wife is mentally deranged.

“She has stabbed the victim many times in her stomach,” according to reports.

“The suspect lured the victim to accompany her to the Mariri area in the Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state where she stabbed her,” reports said.
