In the valley town of Buckeye, Arizona, in the United states, a woman and her children experienced an apiphobic nightmare during an outdoor outing.

With her family, this woman stopped in a parking lot in the middle of the Arizona countryside in order to take souvenir photos, as told by the channel from across the Atlantic NBC News.

Very quickly, the mother and her children find themselves attacked by a swarm of rabid bees. According to the account of the Buckeye firefighters, who were called to the scene by the victim’s mother, the woman’s first instinct was to protect her children.

“Please hurry, please hurry! My daughter can’t get in the car, she’s being attacked by bees. My granddaughters are with her. Please send help,” exclaimed the woman’s mother to the firefighters.
In the seconds that followed the start of the attack, this woman showed a quick protective instinct by deciding to grab her two children, and place them safe from the bees in the SUV of the family.

As soon as they arrived at the scene of the attack, the firefighters of the city of Buckeye immediately sprayed the vehicle with a foam initially used to put out the fires, as shown in images released by the emergency services. A gesture that allowed them to easily extract the children from the vehicle, while the mother was taken care of by the rest of the rescuers.

If the children were not injured according to NBC News, the mother of the family was still taken to the hospital, suffering a total of 75 bee stings. The victim has since been released from hospital services.
