24-year-old man shot dead in Ogun State

Suspected cultists have killed a 24-year-old man in Igode, Ogijo, the Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State, Nigeria, reports said.

“The deceased, a native of Benue State, was shot dead at about 8 p.m.“

“The deceased was outside their house at Fakile in the Igode community, when the assailants opened fire on him,” a family member said.

“The case reported was at Igode Police Station and his death is still like a mystery to me because when I look at what happened it is strange,” the family member added.

The deceased elder brother confirmed his brother’s death, describing it as a dream.

“The case is linked to some cult activities and the police have already started an investigation on the matter,” the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi. .
