Presidents Kagame and Tshisekedi expected in Angola to resolve conflicts

Rwandan President Paul Kagame and his counterpart Felix Tshisekedi are to meet in Angola as diplomatic relations between the two countries deteriorate.

The presidents expected in the Angolan capital, Luanda, will meet on Wednesday and try to resolve the crisis in eastern DR Congo, the Angolan presidency said in a statement.

There’s been a resurgence of rebel activity and heightened tensions between DR Congo and Rwanda.

Kinshasa accuses Rwanda of supporting M23 rebels.

Kigali denies any wrongdoing and accuses the Congolese army of bombing its territory.
