US billionaire Elon Musk and two of his companies, Tesla and Space X, are facing a $258 billion lawsuit after an investor complained in court about an alleged scam he allegedly suffered.
In the lawsuit filed in lower Manhattan federal court on Thursday, June 16, plaintiff Keith Johnson accuses car company Tesla Inc and space tourism company SpaceX of fraud for touting Dogecoin and making drive its price up, then let it fall.
Keith Johnson is seeking $86 billion in damages from the two companies owned by Elom Musk, in addition to triple damages of $172 billion for financial harm suffered while trading cryptocurrency since 2019.
