Morocco: four lecturers charged in sex-for-grades scandal

A court in Morocco has charged four university lecturers with incitement to debauchery, gender discrimination and violence against women after they were accused of offering students better grades in return for sex.

A fifth lecturer is to appear in court on Wednesday on charges of indecent assault and battery.

The scandal is focused on the Hassan the First University in the city of Settat.

It’s only the latest in a series of allegations of sexual harassment at Moroccan universities in recent years.
