The Ugandan Head of State Yoweri Museveni has announced that schools in the country will reopen in January, almost two years after they were closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The president said the reopening of schools would happen regardless of how many people were vaccinated.
Although Mr Museveni said there will be enough doses by the end of the year to increase the number of people vaccinated, well less than 10% of the Ugandan population has been fully vaccinated.
