According to data from the Mozambican Ministry of Health, coronavirus cases have dropped considerably during these first two weeks of September.
In the first 13 days of the month, there were 2,943 new cases of Covid-19 and 107 hospital admissions, a big drop from the 15,385 cases and 542 admissions reported in the same period in August.
“These improvements were largely due to the effectiveness of measures taken by the government to restrict the spread of the disease” the health ministry said.

The country has so far recorded 149,000 cases including 1 894 deaths.
