Drone attack causes fire in oil refinery in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

A drone attack on Friday sparked a fire at an oil refinery in the Saudi capital Riyadh and was claimed by Yemeni Houthi rebels, the Saudi energy ministry said.

The attack was claimed by Yemeni Houthi rebels, the Saudi energy ministry said.

“The Riyadh oil refinery was attacked by drones, setting off a fire which was controlled,” the ministry said, without reporting any casualties.

The Houthis, for their part, claimed to have targeted the oil giant Saudi Aramco with six drones in the capital.
