East Africa countries leaders were not indifferent when they learnt the death of their Tanzanian counterpart John Magufuli from heart problem.
After Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga, Yoweri Museveni and Bobi Wine, it is the turn of Paul Kagame, Lazarus Chakwera, and Evariste Ndayishimiye to pay a vibrant tribute to the late John Magufuli.
Paul Kagame said he is “saddened by the death of my brother and friend, President Magufuli”. He then promised that his contribution to the East African region “will not be forgotten”.
Malawi’s President Lazarus Chakwera has said in reaction to the death of Tanzania’s leader John Magufuli: “What a loss to Africa, President Magufuli was a towering symbol of Africa’s economic resurgence, and his passing is an incalculable loss to the continent”.

Burundi President Evariste Ndayishimiye has described Tanzania’s leader John Magufuli, as a “great leader” and a “true pan-Africanist”.
