The German association of intensive care doctors on Monday called for an immediate return to severe restrictions to contain the third wave of Covid-19, while the authorities have just relaxed them.
The association made this demand because of the spread of the British variant.

“Based on the data we have and because of the spread of the British variant, we very strongly advocate going back to lockdown now just to prevent a strong third wave,” said Christian Karagiannidis, scientific director of the association of intensive care doctors on German public radio.
