Will a global supply of Ebola vaccine be beneficial?

The vaccine alliance Gavi orders 500 doses of Ebola vaccine in order to have a stock to deal with a new wave of the disease.

More than 300 000 people in the Democratic Republic of Congo and in the neighboring countries received a dose of the Ebola vaccine, Ervebo, developped by the Merck Laboratory. As a reminder, this vaccine is pre-qualify by the World Health Organization in November 2019 and is immediately approved by the main Health Agencies.

This vaccine proved its worth when the epidemic raged in the province of North-Kivu and Ituri until last June.
