In this month, South Africa will first receive one million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by the Oxford University and AstraZeneca. The 500 000 additional doses will follow next month.
The first doses of the Covid-19 vaccine may arrive earlier than expected in South Africa. The information was confirmed on Thursday by the Minister of Health.

In addition, the Minister of Health calls on the rest of the population to be “patient” while negotiations are underway so that the next doses of vaccine do not arrive. South Africa intends to vaccinate 67% of its population by the end of the year.
