A 29-year-old woman and her daughter, believed to be over two years old, have been found dead under mysterious circumstances at Akrokere in the Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region, Ghana.
The woman’s lifeless body was discovered separately from her daughter’s, about 20 meters apart.
Upon inspection, multiple signs of assault were found on their bodies, suggesting foul play. The bodies have since been covered and deposited at the Obuasi Dwaden OD Mortuary.
According to Adom News, “some community members said the tragic incident occurred near a stream.”
Observations at the scene suggest the woman struggled with her attackers before being overpowered. Residents say the situation has left them in fear.
The Assembly Member for Akrokere Fie Electoral Area, Kyereme Andy Mensah, expressed sadness over the incident.
