A 10-year-old boy has tragically drowned in Salt Lake at Gomoa Nyanyano in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, Ghana.
According to Adom, the deceased went missing on Wednesday after returning from school. His body was discovered on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
The Assemblyman for the Upper Nyanyano electoral area, Isaac Quansah, confirmed the incident in an interview.
Mr. Quansah stated that the body has been deposited at the Mother and Child Hospital mortuary for preservation.
The police have also launched an investigation into the incident.
The Assemblyman urged parents to take extra care in monitoring their children’s movements to prevent such tragedies from occurring again.
