On Tuesday, Nigeria and China signed a $1.2 billion agreement for the renovation of an aluminum production plant.
The plant, located in Nigeria, will be renovated by the Chinese National Chemical Engineerin, in partnership with the Nigerian Aluminium Smelter Company.
The agreement, worth $1.2 billion, covers the renovation of a major aluminum production facility.
Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Epkerikpe Ekpo, said the signed agreement was an important step towards revitalizing the plant, which had previously been operating efficiently.
Ekpo added that the plant will have the capacity to produce around 300,000 tons of aluminum per year.
