The 9ᵉ edition of the Prix internationaux des musiques urbaines (Primud d’Or 2024) returned its verdict on the night of November 10-11, 2024, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
On the sidelines of the prestigious ceremony, Roseline Layo lifted the trophy, with a cool 20 million FCFA to her name.
Organized by renowned producer Molare, the event once again showcased the dynamism of the Ivorian and African music scene.
The 2024 prize list rewarded artists from all horizons, confirming the diversity and richness of African urban music.
Among the big winners:
- Roseline Layo: crowned PRIMUD d’Or 2024, undisputed queen of urban music;
- Didi B: the rapper retains his title of best French-speaking artist;
- Ayane: the singer wins the award for best variety artist;
- Prissy la dégameuse: the comedienne is rewarded for her talent as a humorist;
- Dydy Yeman: the king of coupé-decalé is honored once again;
- Les Leaders: the zouglou group wins the prize for best zouglou group of the year;
- TAM SIR: the beatmaker takes the prize for the best hit of the year with “le coup du marteau”
- Himra: wins the prize for the best Ivorain rapper;
- DRE-A: the young rapper is a rising star to be followed closely;
- Dj Manadja confirmed: ” New style music” award;
- MILO: the singer is rewarded for his talent;
- TAM SIR and TEAM PAIYA: the prize for best urban performance goes to this duo.
