At least 28 people died in southern Ethiopia when a public transport bus plunged into a river, according to reports.
“29 people were also injured in the incident,” according to Inspect Wolde Biliso, head of the trafic accident prevention and control division.
He confirmed that the accident occurred at around 1 p.m. local time in the Fatata district of the region, noting that the death toll could rise, as there are serious injuries that could lead to further fatalities.
