Mysterious aircraft seized at Freetown airport

Coming from Liberia, the plane landed without a permit at Freetown international airport in Sierra Leone on September 20, 2024.

The Sierra Leonean authorities seized the aircraft and took into custody the four passengers on board: three Mexicans and a Spaniard.

While there is some uncertainty surrounding this plane, which was due to travel to Mexico, an investigation has been opened, and the Sierra Leone government has indicated its commitment to civil aviation security.

According to the initial findings, the aircraft was using a false registration number.
