Senegalese President dissolves the National Assembly

On Thursday, Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye dissolved the National Assembly, which he said had decided to row against the will of the Senegalese people.

This provision is based on article 87 of the Constitution.

The Senegalese people will then be called to the polls on Sunday November 17, 2024 for legislative elections.
