The Malian judiciary has ordered the release, under judicial supervision, of eleven political leaders arrested on June 20.
Members of the March 31st Declaration, a coalition of parties calling for a return to constitutional order in Mali, they are charged with opposition to the exercise of legitimate authority.
They had met in a private home at a time when the political activities of parties and associations had been officially suspended in the country.
It should be remembered that it was the examining magistrate of Bamako’s Commune 5 Court who signed the order for their release on Monday, under judicial supervision.
However, their lawyers were not informed until Wednesday.
