A 16-year-old Jamaican boy died earlier this week after being the victim of a shark attack, according to local police and information from the Jamaica Observer.
Originally from the Trelawny area, near the tourist town of Montego Bay, Jahmari Reid had gone spearfishing but had not given any sign of life since Monday.
It was fishermen who discovered the headless body the next day, which was also missing its left arm.
“I can’t believe he went out to sea all by himself yesterday (Monday) and that this is the result. I feel so bad,” his father, Michael Reid, was quoted as saying by the Jamaica Observer.
