The famous French actor Alain Delon has died at the age of 88 on Sunday August 18 at his home in Douchy in France as the announcement was made by his three children.
Born in Sceaux in 1935, he came to the cinema almost by chance.
His Apollonian physique and instinctive acting style enabled him to build a legend early on through a number of legendary films.
Deeply marked by a difficult childhood, he had always portrayed himself as a lonely man, despite his immense popularity and success with women.
Alain Delon said in an interview “I never dreamed of this career, it just happened. I wasn’t cut out to be Alain Delon. I should have been dead a long time ago. It’s called destiny,”
