Rivers police arrest four suspected kidnappers

Four suspects have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a kidnapping in Okocha Community, Igbo-Etche in Etche Local Government Area of the state, Nigeria.

“The arrest followed complaints by the management of a company that some of its workers on field inspection were missing,” according to police reports.

“The suspected kidnappers subjected their victims to a harrowing experience, threatened to kill them, and demanded N300m ransom,” according to the spokesperson for the command, Grace Iringe-Koko.

Investigations revealed that the suspects were part of a criminal syndicate operating under the guise of cattle rearers.

The statement read, “The rivers state police command continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment in combating the menace of kidnapping within the region.”

An intensive operation onducted by the police has resulted in the successful arrest of four individuals suspected to be involved in various criminal activities, including kidnapping and cultism.
