President Putin won the presidential election and assured that “all goals will be achieved”

Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked the Russians on Sunday March 17 for voting in the presidential election which he largely won according to preliminary results.

“First of all, I would like to thank the citizens, we are all one team, all the citizens of Russia who went to the polling stations and voted,” Vladimir Putin told his campaign team during an intervention broadcast on state television.

On the verge of being re-elected for a third term in a row, the Russian president estimated that the first results of the presidential election demonstrated the “confidence” of Russians in his power.

“We have a lot of concrete and important tasks to accomplish. The results of the election testify to the confidence of the country’s citizens and their hope that we will do everything planned,” Vladimir Putin said.

“No one succeeds or will succeed in scaring us,” the Russian president also said that “all objectives will be achieved and the projects completed.”
