Nigerian President Bola Tinubu is confident that the Super Eagles will beat the Elephants of Ivory Coast in the final of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) scheduled for this Sunday, February 11, 2024.
President Tinubu declared that it was Nigeria’s turn to win the AFCON, echoing the word “Awalokan”, a Yoruba term meaning “It’s our turn”.
“It was a moment of joy for all of us, united as a nation, full of hope that it will be our turn to win the trophy. Awalokan”, he declared.
Tinubu’s confidence is based on his team’s impressive performance at this edition of the AFCON and the massive support of the Nigerian people.
He is convinced that the Super Eagles will rise to the occasion and achieve the long-awaited victory.
