Woman stabbed to death over plantain

A pregnant woman has been arrested for stabbing another woman to death over a bunch of plantain in Adada community, Nigeria.

“The suspect stabbed the lady for trying to stop her from running away with a bunch of plantain she stole from a plantation while trying to get food for her children,” according to reports.

“The deceased who was keeping watch over the plantation for her family, had told the suspect to drop the bunch of plantain but she refused leading to an argument,” reports added.

The suspect inflicted two cuts on the deceasesd’s head and shoulder leading to her death.

The spokesman for the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, saying the suspect had been charged to court.
